Salamander Bonded Leather (Corell Medio), is a regenerated leather fibre material produced in Europe using recycled vegetable-tanned leather offcuts. The leather scraps are finely milled and bonded with a natural fat and latex binder, resulting in a material that closely resembles vegetable-tanned leather in stiffness and handling, while offering greater consistency and cost efficiency.
This material is widely used as a leather stiffener and reinforcement layer in bag making and small leather goods. Common applications include belts, watch straps, wallets, clutches, books, fashion accessories, furniture components, and upholstery details. Its balanced rigidity makes it ideal for adding shape, strength, and long-term support to leather projects.
When producing belts, it is used as support for contouring (moulded belts). If it is used for leather goods, it provides as reinforcement for products made of soft leathers. It provides good tear and stitch resistance.
Salamander Bonded Leather accepts adhesive exceptionally well. Glue can be applied by brush, glue spreader, or spray system, allowing flexibility across different workshop setups and production methods.
Supplied in sheet form, it is easy to cut, handle, and integrate into a wide range of designs.

Storage
Bonded leather consists of leather fibres. It shows to a great extend the same properties as the natural product leather and it is therefore advisable to store this product at room temperature and relative humidity of 65 %.
