The Pro Atelier Plus Hollow Round Hole Pricking Iron is designed for leatherworkers who prefer a clean, uniform round stitching hole rather than the angled slit produced by a French-style pricking iron.
 
Its finely sharpened teeth are designed to pierce directly through leather, creating consistent holes that are ready for saddle stitching without the need to open each hole separately with an awl in most applications.
Round holes create a more neutral, straight stitching appearance and work well across a wide range of leather projects, including wallets, belts, bags, cases and other handmade leather goods.
 
The distinctive hollow handle design reduces unnecessary weight while maintaining a solid and balanced feel in the hand. This makes the tool comfortable to control during repeated punching and helps reduce fatigue during longer working sessions.
 
Made from premium Hitachi 440C stainless steel from Japan, each iron undergoes vacuum heat treatment and liquid-nitrogen cryogenic processing for improved hardness, stability and wear resistance.
With a hardness of 57–60 HRC, the teeth are designed to retain their shape and sharpness through repeated use.
A silver-polished finish helps the teeth penetrate and withdraw smoothly from the leather while making the tool easy to maintain.

The Hollow Pricking Iron design is registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) under Pro Atelier Plus LTD, with corresponding registration with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
 
For best performance and to protect the finely sharpened teeth, always use the iron on a suitable punching board. Avoid striking onto cutting mats, stone, metal or other hard surfaces. We recommend using Punching Board (can be purchased here) with our Pricking Hollow Pricking Iron.
