When working with synthetic threads such as nylon or polyester, people often use a lighter to weld their threads after backstitching and completing a seam. This way is not ideal as broad use of heat may melt all of the thread next to the desired area. By using this thread welder, you can precisely weld thread ends. It is a more accurate and professional alternative to a lighter.

The main difference between the bent and straight tips is the comfort they offer.

To prolong the life and precision of your thread burner, we recommends cleaning just the tip of the conical point with steel wool 000 if any thread and wax residue remains on the point.
A few precautions to take:
1 ) Unplug the thread burner and wait for it to cool down.
2 ) Never rub the resistance wire.
3 ) Blow on the tool after cleaning to remove any dust or steel wool residue that could cause a short-circuit.

Regad tips are made from high-quality, pre-treated steel. This range of steel complies with the NF Standard (French and European standards).
