An optional clear stamping film for improving selected hot foil stamping and embossing applications on leather and other suitable materials.
 
The MAXITA Transparent Hot Stamping Film is a useful accessory for hot foil stamping when you need additional surface protection, a more defined impression, or improved results on certain leathers and finishes.
 
Unlike coloured hot stamping foil, this transparent film is not used to add colour or a metallic finish. Instead, it can be used before or after the main hot foil stamping process, depending on the material and the result you want to achieve.
 
It is particularly useful when working with delicate surface finishes, textured leather, or applications where a cleaner and more controlled stamped impression is required.
 
Use Before Hot Foil Stamping
The transparent film can be used as a protective layer between the heated die and the material before the coloured foil is applied.
This can be helpful when working with leather that has a more delicate surface coating or finish, as it reduces direct contact between the heated stamp and the material. We recommend this approach for heavily textured leather, where a preliminary press can help flatten the grain in the stamping area before the final foil application.
 
Use After Hot Foil Stamping
The film can also be used after the coloured foil has been applied.
A second controlled press through the transparent film can help define and deepen the impression and may help the coloured foil sit more securely within the stamped area.
