The KTWO K6656-S Precision Band Knife Splitting Machine is the large-format model in the KTWO precision splitting machine range, with an extra-wide 620 mm working width.
 
Designed for accurate and consistent thickness reduction across larger pieces of material, the K6656S is suitable for genuine leather, PU, microfibre, EVA, rubber and rubber-plastic materials.
 
Its wide working area makes it particularly suitable for production environments where sheets, panels or larger leather components need to be split to a controlled, uniform thickness.
 
The machine is designed to deliver even, stable and consistent splitting, with an adjustable finished thickness from 0.2 mm to 8 mm.
 
A 360-degree cantilever-mounted touchscreen provides a simple human-machine interface for convenient machine operation.
The movable control position allows the screen to be accessed easily from different working positions around the machine.
 
The machine uses PLC programme control with control software developed independently by KTWO.
The system is designed to provide stable and reliable control of the machine's operating functions.

The K6656-S uses an integrally cast machine body, providing a solid foundation for long-term stability and consistent operation.
For a precision band knife splitting machine, a stable machine structure is particularly important for maintaining consistent material feeding and splitting performance.
 
The machine uses an extra-long 3970 × 50 × 0.8 mm band knife.
The long blade runs around large 500 mm diameter band knife flywheels, helping the knife operate smoothly and steadily during splitting.
The blade sharpening system operates at up to 4000 rpm.
 
Material feed speed is continuously variable, rather than restricted to fixed speed settings. This allows the operator to adjust the feed according to materials with different densities and working requirements, including leather, PU, microfibre, EVA and rubber-based materials.
 
The K6656-S replaces the previous four-stage pressure adjustment system with continuously adjustable working pressure. This gives the operator greater flexibility when setting the machine for materials with different thicknesses, densities and characteristics.
 
An independent waste suction system removes splitting waste during operation. The waste suction function has its own independent control module, allowing it to be controlled separately from the main machine functions. The K6656S also includes an automatic stop and alarm system if waste material is drawn into the mechanism, helping the operator identify problems during production.
 
The K6656-S incorporates an automatic blade feed positioning system together with automatic electronic phase detection. These systems form part of the machine's automated control and monitoring functions for stable day-to-day operation.

Manual reverse
Reverse settings can also be stored and recalled. The system is capable of storing more than one hundred sets of reverse data, making it easier to retrieve previously used settings for repeat production.
