Moneeza is a bookbinder, artist, and passionate collector of vintage textiles, driven by a deep appreciation for everyday beauty and storytelling. She founded Lotus Blu as a way to preserve history, legacy, and the stories of generations past, honouring them through tangible, handcrafted works while celebrating the present. From her home studio and bindery in the Lake District, England, she creates pieces that tell tales through texture and touch.
Specialising in one-of-a-kind, meaningful journals, Moneeza repurposes vintage textiles and uses sustainable, tree-free paper such as hemp, bamboo, and cotton rag. Her journals, covered with carefully sourced vintage fabrics, are crafted with materials from Paper Foundation, Hahnemühle Ingres, and Khaadi cotton rag paper, ideal for both writing and art. Each piece is mindfully packaged with the seasons in mind, always earth-friendly, reusable, and perfect as a treasured gift.
Her popular self-paced online course, The Keepsake Book, introduces a unique binding method she developed 25 years ago, a design that accommodates ephemera, mementos, and mixed-media elements without compromising structure. What began as a personal project evolved into a global offering for creatives and storytellers who wish to capture their own histories authentically.
When she’s not binding books or painting, Moneeza finds inspiration in long walks through nature, photography, obscure cinema, music, and hunting for vintage treasures.
