Jacek Tylkowski is a master bookbinder who has been honing his craft for over 20 years, running Introligatornia Tylkowski, a family-owned bindery in Poland. Specialising in small-run bookbinding, he blends traditional handcraft with modern techniques to create exceptional, high-quality books.

Jacek Tylkowski is a master bookbinder with decades of hands-on experience. Since 1991, he has been at the helm of Introligatornia Tylkowski, a family-owned bindery founded by his father, Stanisław Tylkowski, in 1980. Now the bindery is based in Komorniki, near Poznań, Poland, the workshop continues to uphold a legacy of craftsmanship, combining traditional techniques with modern innovations.

With over 20 years of experience, Jacek honed his skills under the mentorship of Czech master Jan Sobota, founder and first chairman of the Czech Association of Bookbinders. His expertise lies in small-run bookbinding, working closely with publishing houses to produce meticulously crafted editions where every detail is given careful attention.

Driven by a deep passion for the craft, Jacek constantly explores and refines modern binding techniques, balancing tradition with contemporary design. When not in the studio, he keeps up with industry trends through literature and online research, always seeking to push the boundaries of bookbinding.

Beyond his own work, Jacek is committed to passing on his knowledge. He offers one-on-one and group workshops, welcoming both beginners and experienced enthusiasts to learn the art of bookbinding in an intimate, hands-on setting.
